Stop #10: Grammy Rehearsals, Staples Center, Los Angeles
On February 8, 2013, Get Well Soon Tour went on a field trip with exclusive access to the Grammy rehearsals. It was our 10th stop and first out-patient visit. Jamming with a guitar and sing-alongs, eight children and Get Well Soon Tour crew rolled in style in a stretch limo from Mattel Children’s Hospital to Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles. In addition to watching bands rehearse, we also visited backstage with The Black Keys, received hugs from Miranda Lambert, played in a photo booth with B.O.B., hung with Pauly D and Jay Sean, and goofed around with Sky Blu from LMFAO. All in all, it was a very fun and exhausting day, full of smiles, laughter, and awe of the talent in the building.
Stop #9 at the Childrens Hospital of Michigan
On Friday July 20th singer, songwriter Mike Posner stopped by Childrens Hospital of Michigan. This was the 9th stop on the Get Well Soon Tour and our first visit to Detroit.

Children’s Hospital Los Angeles recently moved 191 inpatients into its new 317-bed, $636 million state-of-the-art hospital building. After months of planning, more than 1,200 doctors, nurses and staff safely moved patients to their new residence. From the toddlers to teens battling cancer and heart disease, Mandy got to meet, play (and SING!) with many of them.
After watching Tangled, the kids of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles got to ask Mandy questions about what it was like to play Rapunzel and shared their favorite moments from the movie with her.
